How big does a city have to be to support a bicycle courier? That is a good question. I don’t think it’s been proven or defined. But one good litmus test I think is to ask what the skyline looks like. The bigger the skyline the denser the business in a small core will be and in turn the more “potential” work going around in circles within that city. This is a great photo of the growth of San Diego’s skyline that fueled almost 10 great years for me.
As all these condo's went up so did business.
If their is one defining thread or common love of all messengers it is the love of bikes. Italians love bikes too. But I don’t think these old birds were or knew any bicycle messengers. None the less I’m glad to see them on their bikes. I took this picture in Italy and used it for a postcard one year.
